The Sport: Extreme Stix
- Played on a field or open area with two
marked end zones.
- Two teams consisting of equal numbers of
players.
- Each player must have a set of wands. Order
- The use of safety equipment during
competitive play is RECOMMENDED: Padded gloves and a helmet with
face shield.
- First possession is decided by a coin
toss.
- Game starts at center field.
- The players of the opposing team must
allow the player with possession 5 yards of space at the start
of play. (This is true for each new possession throughout the
game.)
Object:
For a team to have possession of the baton in their
opponents' end zone. A "touchdown" is worth one point.
 
Play begins:
- The person with the possession may run
with the baton or pass it to a teammate. Kick passes are
permitted. A player's two wands may touch the master stick
simultaneously but the baton may not be gripped between the
wands for more than one second. If both ends of the baton touch
the ground simultaneously, possession goes to the opposing team.
- Defenders can block passes and attempt
to knock the baton from their opponent's control to obtain
possession. Defenders may not contact the body of their
opponents with their wands; they may only contact their
opponents' wands and the baton. The defender's wrist must stay
rigid (for the safety of his or her opponent.) Penalties will be
called for dangerous play.
